Polo at the Olympics

While water polo is played in the Summer Olympic Games to this day, there have been three different types of polo played at the Olympics in modern times. From 1900 to 1936, polo, as played by two teams on horseback, was a popular men's Olympic sport. Additionally, bike polo, similar to polo except played by two teams riding bicycles around a grass field, was a demonstration sport (no medals awarded) at the 1908 Summer Olympic Games, but never caught on.
