Maria got the letter she had been waiting on for weeks! She auditioned for the cheerleading squad, and she just got the letter telling her she made the team. The letter, however, also included the cost of the uniform and other squad fees, which was over $500 in total. Maria knew her mother did not have that much money for her cheerleading activities, so she went to the cheerleading coach, Mrs. Beacon. Mrs. Beacon said, "Maria, don't worry about the fees. You will be an asset to our team, and I will help find a way to get your fees paid."
